Wayne Morris

Wayne Morris, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025. Born on July 31,1942, Wayne lived a life defined by hard work deep faith, and unwavering devotion to his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda Scruggs Morris, his son, Jason Morris (Erin); his daughter, Bridgett Morris Miller (Michael); his cherished grandchildren, Savanna Newman and Emmet Morris; step-granddaughters, Hannah Miller, Makenzie Blackwell, and Trinity Blackwell; his brother, Michael Morris (Sherry); and his sister, Wanda Morris Cantrell (Chris).

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Bill Morris; his mother, EZ Morris; his twin brother, Wayland Morris; and his sister, Sybil Morris.

A man of deep character and quiet strength, Wayne always worked hard to provide for his family. He was most recently employed with Gaffney Post Office, where he retired after 21 years of dedicated service. A loyal fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks, Wayne loved cheering on his team almost as much as he loved spending time with his family.

He was a devoted member of Chesnee First Baptist Church, where his faith was a cornerstone of his life. 

Wayne will be remembered for his love, his loyalty, and the steady, caring presence he was to so many. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The family invites friends for visitation on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:00 - 1150 pm in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm with the Revered Dr. Gary Grogan and Pastor Leonard Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AgapeCareGroup.Com or Chesnee First Baptist Church or a charity of one's choice
