Obituary

Vicky Lynn Mooney-Bradley

July 22, 1957 – April 11, 2026

On April 11, 2026, after an extended illness, Vicky went to be with her heavenly Father. She was born in Virginia, but lived out her childhood and teen years in Irwin, Tennessee. Vicky was raised in the Baptist faith by her beloved parents, Amos and Betty Mooney. In addition to being predeceased by her parents, she had also lost a brother, Jeff.

Vicky attended East Tennessee State University for her undergraduate degree and the University of South Carolina for her graduate degree. She was a creative school librarian who was admired by many students and teachers. Vicky spent the bulk of her career in Spartanburg District Two, but also worked in Beaufort County Schools, and Union County School District. In addition, she had a passion for antiquing which was appreciated by many who visited her shops.

Left behind to mourn her loss are many friends; her sister Teresa; her daughter Ami; grandchildren: Haleigh, Caden, and Caitlin; several special aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Her faithful canine companion, Charlie, was a comfort to her in her final years.

All arrangements are entrusted into the care and under the direction of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary & Crematory, 864-461-7788.
