Anthony Wayne “Tony” Ayers, 53, of Lake Greenwood passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at his home.

Formerly of Chesnee, he was the son of Patty Arrington Charles and the late Don Ayers. He was born April 18, 1972, in Spartanburg, SC. He was a 1990 graduate of Chesnee High School, where he played football for the Eagles. Tony was the former owner and operator of Unique Exteriors. Tony had many friends and family who will miss him dearly.

Along with his mother, Tony is survived by two sons, Greyson Strawn and Donavan Ayers; father, Anthony Metcalf; stepfather, Randy Charles, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary and Crematory. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary and Crematory with Mr. Keith McKelvey and Mr. Todd Gossett officiating.

The family suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 1070 Asheville Highway Spartanburg, SC 29303.

Family members are at their respective homes.
