Thomas “Bug” Lee Jonas, 61 years, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Spartanburg Medical Center, after a brief illness. Bug was born on April 6, 1960, in Gastonia, North Carolina, to the late Thomas Lee and Vera Mae Vickers Jonas. He was a resident of Mayo since 1990, and in his professional career was a sheet rock finisher.
Survivors include four sisters; Jacqeline Goforth and Angela Denise Jonas both of Mayo, Vickie Jo Jonas of Spartanburg, and Jessica Lamb of Chesnee.
He was predeceased by his brother; William Cecil Jones and two sisters, Patsy and Doris Ann Jonas.
A Celebration of life will be held this Friday, April 1, 2022, at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Pastor Ron Culbertson of Love Springs Baptist Church in Cowpens officiating.
