Obituary

Sue Carol Allen Nichols, 88, of 123 Cypress Dr. Gaffney, South Carolina, passed away on November 15, 2025. Born on February 14, 1937, Sue Carol served her community as a Nurse. She lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones and patients. Throughout her years, she displayed an immense capacity for warmth and compassion, touching the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a lifelong member at Bethany Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth Joy Nichols; sister, Katie Lee Allen Bostic, of NC; nieces and nephew, Marie Allen Bowman, (Stewart Bowman), Paul Allen, Vickie Allen Bishop (Randy Bishop), Sharon and Noel Miley, Renee and Dennis Owens; great nieces, Stash Fitzgerald Broder (Scott) and Lacie Allen; and cousins, Mickey Blackwell and Glenn and Matha Allen Manning.

Sue Carol was predeceased by her father, Claude Allen; mother, Geneva Maness Allen; 2 newborns, James Allen Husketh, Nikki Sue Nichols; son, Jeffery Scott Husketh; brothers, Bobby Keith Allen and Claude Wayne Allen; nephew, Richard (Rick) Keith Allen; and niece-in-law, Sherri Allen.

A Special thank you to Agape Hospice, nurse, Bernedette Roberson and care technician, Kim Isenhoward for such excellent and compassionate care provided.

Her legacy will continue to live on through the cherished memories she has left behind. It was Sue Carol's faith, gentle Spirit and unwavering strength that will be remembered most, serving as a source of comfort and inspiration for those who mourn her loss. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” (Matthew 5:4).

Memorial service for Sue Carol will be held at 3pm Friday, December 5, 2025 at Bethany Baptist Church with Pastor Justin Blanton officiating and Lola Blanton, soloist. Burial will be family only. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 3pm prior to the service at the church. Barr-Price Funeral Homes and Crematorium Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
