Jeffery Scott “Scotte” Hicks, 58, widower of Eva Marie Fowler Hicks, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum. 

Born September 18, 1965 in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late John Burton Hicks, Sr. and Bobbie Roe Hicks. He was formerly employed with Blue Ridge Log Homes and was of the Baptist Faith 

Surviving are his sons, Justin Hicks (Ashley) of Chesnee, Travis Hicks of Chesnee, sister; Tammy Hicks of Chesnee, brothers; David Hicks of Chesnee, Howard Hicks of Mooresboro, Michael Hicks (Deb) of Mooresboro, Harold Hicks (Kathy) of Chesnee; sister-in-law, Susan Hicks of Chesnee; 1 granddaughter, Haylee Hicks; 3 step-grandchildren and his beloved German Shephard, Buddy. 

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother, John B. Hicks Jr. 

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Alverson Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Cody Morris and Mr. Jeffery Wood officiating.
