We lived next to Ruth for many years-We loved her so much--we went through the death of David with her--she became Grandma to us--After I lost my husband I had no way to go see her--I wish I could have spent time with her in her finale days--I will always love her -she is part of my heart. I love this picture --that's my grandma. I am so sorry for your loss Anna.

Ruth was a huge part of our family for as long as I can remember. My Mother and her were best buddies for a long time. I know Mother was there to meet her so they could share a laugh and hugs . My prayers are with the family for comfort during this sad time. In loving memory, Melinda Thomas Brannon

Aunt Ruthie was one of the strongest, most courageous people I have ever known. Her fighting spirit was next to none. She was loved more than the world will ever know by her nephew Jerry Burgess. She was 16 and he was 10 when she came into his life and they grew up together. They are now rocking it in heaven. She never met a stranger and definitely had a very full life. Memories are what keep those who have gone alive. I am thankful she was in my life and I will remember her fondly and truly miss her. God Bless her and her family.

Family of Ruth Parris, So sorry for my post a couple of hours ago. My memories of your Mother are quite different from the post I did earlier. My Mother Geraldine Thomas and your Mother were very good friends. Mom attended Bible Study at Cudd Memorial with your Mom. When my Mother gave up driving, I would spend the day with her on Wednesday and so I became a part of the Bible Study also. I took your Mother, Miss Ruth, home a couple of times and also picked her up on occasion. She was a very special lady!!She loved the Lord and made sure she told everyone about Him. As I said in the first text , about floral arrangements, I dont know if she did those or not, thinking of the other Ruth. Please know that She is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praying that God our Father will surround you with His love, peace and comfort during these difficult times. The family of Geraldine Thomas, Daughter Ellen Sperry and her family.
