Richard R. Greene Jr., 77, husband of Becky Greene went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born December 14, 1947 in Cleveland County, NC., he was a son of the late Richard R. Greene Sr. and Leona McAbee Greene. He was retired after 48 years with Hoechst Celanese and was a member of Love Springs Baptist Church in Cowpens.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughters, Stephanie Quinn and husband Billy of Chesnee; Denise “Diddle” Greene of Forest City, NC.; sons, Michael Greene of Gaffney, Chad Greene and wife Stephanie of Gaffney; sister, Winnie Lovelace of Chesnee; sisters-in-law, Eloise Greene, Norma Greene; grandchildren, Starr Powers (Garrett), Alexis Greene, Lane Harris, Dalton Quinn, Gunner Allison; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Love Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the church with Rev. Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
