Otha Lee Helton

Otha L. Helton Chesnee, SC Otha Lee Helton, 80, loving husband of 57 years to Cleo Heaton Helton went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 24, 2017 at his home. Born June 2, 1937 in Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late James Helton and Ollie Matthews. He was a member of Brooklyn Baptist Church. In addition to his wife those left to cherish his memory are daughters, Tina Scruggs and Gina Huntsinger both of Chesnee; brothers, Willie Helton of Chesnee, J.B. Petty of Gaffney; grandchildren, Kevin Turner reared in the home, David Scruggs of Boiling Springs, Danielle Scruggs of Travelers Rest; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Drayton, Skye and Willow. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Brooklyn Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Collins and Rev. Tony Clements officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens. The Helton family will greet relatives and friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2017 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary.
