Mildred O’Bryant Brownlee

Mildred O’Bryant Brownlee, 87, loving wife of Earl Chesley Brownlee went to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 11th, 2025, at the Agape Hospice Hospital.

Born July 4th, 1938, in Oconee County. Mildred was a native of Spartanburg County. She was the daughter of Myrtle Dillard and Calip Elmer O’Bryant. She was known for her genuine, loving nature. She was a talented artist, who loved to spend her time drawing and creating. She was a devout Christian and was a member of Praise Cathedral. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mildred was an extremely special woman, whose love for all her family members was paramount. She loved to work outside in her garden and found joy in the beautification of her surrounding world.

She is survived by her loving son Kenneth Brownlee (Lisa); siblings Jack O’Bryant (Sandra) Doris Elder (Donnie); grandchildren, Jennifer Brownlee (Shane Budd) Adam Brownlee (Julianna); great grandchildren Rocky and Bray Brownlee, Jackson McClellan; Nieces and Nephews, Brian Chitwood (Teresa) Deana Mah (Gary) Mala McCoy, John Newman, Kelli Adams, Jeff O’Bryant. And very special, lifelong friend, Sue Hall.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was previously deceased by siblings George O’Bryant and Angie Newman; her son Stephen Gregory Brownlee and a nephew Joel O'Bryant.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jerry Madden, Reverend Richard Porterfield and Reverend Larry Black officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN or by online donation.
