L.J. “Mickey” Humphries, 80, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born February 20, 1944 in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Furman Humphries and Gladys Marie Scruggs Humphries and was retired from Hoechst Celanese.

Surviving is his son, Billy Kirby; grandson, Brandon Kirby; brothers, David Humphries, Ralph Humphries, Clyde Humphries, Ronnie Humphries, Bobby Humphries, Charles Humphries and his sister Mary Elder.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Linda Sherbert, Ruth Watford and Becky Humphries.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.

Family members are at their respective homes.
