Michael Joseph Nanna passed away on June 3, 2026, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born on March 12th, 1959 in Manhattan, New York, he was the Son of the late Joseph D. Nanna and Mildred Distante Nanna. Michael’s journey through life was marked by his many years of hard work and love for his family. He enjoyed driving through the states, doing what he loved, and creating lifelong friendships.

Michael was an avid New York Yankees fan, who embraced his Italian heritage by sharing his love of music and food. He was a kind hearted soul, who never met a stranger and touched the lives of everyone he came into contact with; always making the people around him laugh. Michael’s professional career as a truck driver spanned for over 50 years, and allowed him to serve the needs of one of the nation's largest retailers, Wal-Mart. His reliability and diligence were well respected by his community and everyone around him.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Kristina, who stood by his side for 31 years. Their family was blessed with five children: Alexis Nanna (Jacob Swanson), Evelyn (Drake) Little, Brooke Nanna (Austin Vaughan), Faith Nanna, and Kristopher Michael Nanna. The family also included a cherished granddaughter, Magnolia Kate Little, whose presence brought joy amidst trying times. Michael was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joseph D. Nanna and Mildred Distante Nanna, whose love and guidance shaped the foundations of his character. Additionally, he mourns the loss of his brother Robert "Bobby" Nanna, whose memory remains close in the hearts of all who knew them. He also precedes in death a grandchild, who he now holds close. Surviving family members include his brother Joseph (Darlene) Nanna, his sister Debbie (Augie) Arace, his sister-in-law Carmen Viruet, and a future granddaughter, Alice Swanson. Alongside them, the rest of Michael’s family celebrate his life and legacy.

A visitation to honor Michael Joseph Nanna will be held on Wednesday June 17, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harris - Nadeau Mortuary and Crematory, located at 5880 Chesnee Hwy, Chesnee, South Carolina 29323. This time will provide a moment for family, friends, and all who knew Michael to gather, reflect, and pay their respects.

 Michael’s life was one of sincere commitment and profound dedication—to his work, to his family, and to the values he held dear. Though his passing is a great loss, his memory endures in the hearts of those who loved him and in the legacy of kindness and perseverance he leaves behind.
