Michael F. Hinds
Pauline, SC.
Michael F. Hinds, age 74, of Pauline, SC, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday October 21, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Originally from Cleveland, NY, Mike came to South Carolina with Fay’s Drug Company in the early 1980s. He later worked in the purchasing department at Mary Black Hospital before beginning a long and successful sales career with Frito-Lay, from which he eventually retired.
After retirement, Mike continued working part-time for Advance Auto.
Mike is survived by his children, Angel Eanes (Jerome) of Smith Station, AL; Justin Hinds (Crystal) of Moore, SC; and Chad Hinds (Martha) of Gaffney, SC; his brother, John Hinds (Joni) of Cleveland, NY; and his sister, Lori Sizemore (Joel) of Pacolet, SC.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Robbie, Delainie, Brittany, Taylor, Brandy and Brittany; four great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Anne Hinds, and his brother Danny Hinds.
Mike cherished his family and se friends and the memories they shared. He had a special love for his dogs, who were a constant and beloved part of his life, as well as his grand dog, Amos, who held a special place in his heart. He also took great pride in his beautifully restored 1986 Chevrolet truck, a reflection of his appreciation for the simple things he loved.
The family is especially grateful to those who showed Mike love, kindness and support throughout his illness. A special thank you goes to Spartanburg Regional Hospice for their compassionate care, and to Cindy Radley, the mother of his children, for the love and care she gave Mike during his final days.
In keeping with Mike’s wishes, he will be laid to rest along the lakeshore at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Cleveland, NY, near his parents, brother, and many beloved aunts and uncles. Returning to this special place meant a great deal to Mike, allowing him to rest among the family members who went before him and remained close to his heart.
A celebration of life will be held at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, located at 1557 Highway 176 Bypass, Pacolet, SC at a later date to be announced with Reverend Dylan Styles officiating.
