Melvin C. Tolleson

Melvin Clifford Tolleson, 88, widower of Germaine J. Tolleson went home to be with the Lord Monday, August 17, 2026, at Regional Hospice Home.

Born July 17, 1938 in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Robert Lloyd Tolleson and Mary Ethel Snow Tolleson. He was formerly employed with Skinner’s Auto Parts in Inman and a faithful member of Cherokee Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving is his son, Phil Tolleson and wife Elaine of Chesnee; granddaughters, Nikki Guy, Sheena Willis both of Mayo; great-grandsons, Brayden Willis and Bentley Willis.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his siblings, Catherine SusieTolleson Bradley, Robert Freeman Tolleson, Ralph Henry Tolleson, Alma Blanch Tolleson Hildreth, Andrew Jackson “Jr” Tolleson and Raymond Lewis Tolleson.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday August 20, 2026 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary & Crematory.

Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Friday August 21, 2026 in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary & Crematory with Rev. Belton Drake, Rev. Jeff Hopper and Rev. Caleb Wofford officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cherokee Springs Baptist Church, 2699 Chesnee Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
