Mary Gail Ezell, 87, widow of Bobby Hugh Ezell went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 4, 2025 at White Oak Manor.

Born May 14, 1937 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert McDaniel and Merelle Scruggs McDaniel. Gail was a graduate of Lees McCrae College and served in healthcare administration throughout her career, retiring with the SC Department of Health in 1999. Gail was a committed member of Chesnee First Baptist Church for 80 years, taught the Truth Seekers Sunday School class for over 40 years and served as a prayer partner and mentor to hundreds of people throughout her life.

Surviving are her sons, Dr. Terry Ezell and wife Belinda of York, Tony Ezell and wife Amy of Austin TX.; daughters, Teresa Ezell of Chesnee, Tammy Ezell of Chesnee; sister, Betty Poteat of Spartanburg; brother, William “Bill” McDaniel of Chesnee; grandchildren, Justin Greene, Lenzie Connor, Jake Ezell, Madeline Ezell, Luke Ezell, Seth Ezell, Noah Ezell and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Joshua Green and her brothers, Herbert Jr. and Joe McDaniel.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025 at Chesnee First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Dr. Gary J. Grogan officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
