Marvin Allen Walker, 85, husband of Gail Butler Walker, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, October 9, 2023 at Lakewood Assisted Living

Born August 1, 1938 in Mill Spring, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Samuel Edgar Walker and Nannie Huntsinger Walker. He was a retired District Manager for A & P Food Stores for 39 years and was a member of Chesnee First Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his son, Jeff A. Walker (Angie) of Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Erin Frady (Jonathon) and Nathan Walker both of Boiling Springs.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Burnett and brothers, Paul Walker, Alfred Walker, Victor Walker, Herman Walker, Furman Walker and Larry Walker.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2023 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Dr. Gary J. Grogan and Rev. Bruce Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kris Showen officiating.
