Margie Coggins Willingham, 89, went home to be with the Lord, Friday August 7, 2026 at Regional Hospice Home.
Born November 9, 1936 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late George Cannedy Coggins and Sophie Ida Bishop Coggins. She was retired from Pentex and was of the Baptist faith. Margie Willingham lived a life filled with love, kindness, and quiet strength of steel. She loved her heavenly father, her four children; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her home where she found joy in caring for her family and creating a place of warmth, comfort and cherished memories. Her gentle and quiet sprit and generous heart touched the lives of everyone who knew her. While she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she has left her earthly home for a far greater home in heaven. Her love, faith, and the memories she shared will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her children, Ronnie Willingham (Cheryl), Mike Willingham (A.C.), Wayne Willingham, Wanda Wheeler (Jeff); three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; half brothers and sisters, Leola, Hattie, George, Beatrice, Walter and Louise.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, James Coggins (Francis) and a sister, Annie Worthy (Ernest).
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary & Crematory. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary & Crematory with Reverend Preston Edmonds officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
Family members are at their respective homes.
