Margaret F. Painter Spartanburg, SC. Margaret Faye Painter, 82, resident of Valley Falls Terrace, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday September 5, 2020 at Regional Hospice Home. Born July 9, 1938 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Blanton and Myrtle Blanton. She was a former Head Dietitian with Valley Falls Terrace and a member of David Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons; Michael Mills (Shelby), David Painter (Misty), Dennis Mills (Gail), Jerry Mills (Mary Ann), Terry Mills (Kristi Moon); grandchildren, Chasity Gauthier (Michael),Amanda Painter (Erik Estrada), Haley Painter, Jase Painter, Daniel Mills (Tiffany), James Mills (Jenna), Michaela Pruitt (Ryan), Chelsey Mills (David White), Zackary Mills (Logan Harris), Justin Mills (Jessica), Tanner Mills (Rebecca Stoyk); 11, great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 2 brothers and 6 sisters. A celebration of life graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the gravesite. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Davis Memorial Baptist Church, 800 Archer Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29303. Family members are at their respective homes. Harris-Nadeau Mortuary Chesnee, SC.

Margaret was a wonderful mother grandmother mother in law and friend she taught no only my kids many life lessons but me as well. It took a while but we became very close and we both loved each other very much. I will forever carry you in my heart Margaret you meant so much to us all. We will miss you each day we are apart. R.I.P with all my love

Prayers of comfort. Such a sweet lady. I sit with her a lot at Davis Memorial Church. My husband filled in for Rev. Carleton Hames. I did get to speak with Margaret a few times at Valley Falls nursing home when I went to visit my dad. I always enjoyed my talks with her. ( Barbara Hames)
