Marcia Lee Somers

Marcia Lee Somers, 82, wife of John E. Somers, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at her Chesnee home with her loving family by her side.

Marcia was born on April 13, 1939, in Staten Island, New York, to the late George Ambrose and Dorothea Emily Louise Rath Simmonds. She called Chesnee home for the past 25 years prior to living in New Jersey. She was a stay at home mom and "household executive".

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, John E. of Chesnee, daughters; Donna Lynn Harris of Rutherfordton, North Carolina and Darlene Margaret Miller of Staten island, New York, sons; John Joseph Harris, Jr., of Utah and Joseph William Harris of Staten Island, New York, grandchildren; Tina, Johnny, Kevin, Dori, Samantha, Joey and Katelyn as well as great-grandchildren; Amber, Brian, Brandon, Johnnie, Lea, Brooke and Franky.

At Marcia's request, no formal funeral services are to be held.
