Kerry Verne McGee

Boiling Springs, South Carolina

Kerry Verne McGee, 86 years old, widower of Theresa Buchmiller, passed away the morning of June 12, 2024, at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum after a brief illness. Kerry was born in San Diego, California, on September 9, 1937, to the late Andrew W. McGee and Inez Lawrence McGee. Except for the last 7 months in Boiling Springs, Kerry was a lifelong resident of San Diego. He was employed by San Diego County for 22 years retiring in 1981 where he had been a tree maintenance worker. He also had been a volunteer firefighter and former little league manager, 

Survivors include a son, Jason McGee of St. Joseph, Missouri, daughters, Natalie McComb of Boiling Springs and Sharon Worfield of Escondido, California, sisters, Audrey Burt of Oregon and Dorothy Starkey of California and his seven grandchildren.

Private services will be held.
