Karen P. McDowell

Ms. Karen Pamela McDowell, 69, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2025. She was born on June 23, 1956. She was retired from R.R. Donnelly and previously work at Firestone Steel. She was predeceased in death by her parents, William Thomas McDowell, Jr., her mother Mildren Cannon McDowell, her sister, Judy McKelvey and her niece Melissa McDowell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Tommy McDowell, III (Jean), Linda Bowen Pike and Bruce McDowell (Cheryl). Her nieces and nephews are Robbie Bowen, Amanda Huss, Summer Abbott, Heather Wagner, Seth McDowell, Dylan McDowell and Mary Grace McDowell Grubbs. She also has many great nieces and nephews.

Although she had no children, she helped raise Dallas Mendes and Care for her 4 children. She was particularly close to the oldest, David Mendes.

Karen was a loyal friend that would spend her last dime for the people she loved. Karen had a heart of gold.

Karen has been cremated, and the family will have a celebration of Life for family at a later date.
