Judith Highter Ryder

Judith Highter-Ryder, 81 years, wife of 60 years to Thomas Albert Ryder, passed away Friday morning, March 15, 2024, in her Chesnee home surrounded by loving family.

Judith was born on March 14, 1943, in Albany, New York, to the late Isadore Clarence Highter and Margaret Anne Pocket Highter. After graduating from high school, she went on to be a bookkeeper for various companies for 25+ years. She resided in Chesnee since 1997.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Albert Ryder of Chesnee, sons, Garrett Ryder of Spartanburg and Shawn Ryder of Chesnee, daughters, Kelly Carman (Thomas) of Chesnee, Christina West of Burlington, North Carolina, and Samantha Parris (Mike) of Spartanburg, great grandchildren, Elizabeth Bright of Inman, Alexander Bright of Spartanburg, Aslynn West, Nathan West and Margaret West all residing in Burlington, North Carolina, and her great-great grandchildren, Tahani Arthur and Ariyah Arthur.

At her request, there are to be no formal funeral services.
