Joseph Andrew “Joe” Taylor, 70, husband of Melissa Smith Taylor, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born December 21, 1953 in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Hugh Taylor and Frances Gardner Bennett. He was employed with Demtek LLC, Demolition Firm, was a U.S. Airforce veteran and of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife is his son, Chris Taylor of Chesnee; sisters, Margaret White of Fayetteville, NC., Virginia Sellers of Cheraw, Patsy Medford of Chesnee; brothers, Nelson Taylor of Gaffney and Harold Taylor of Cowpens.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Ricky Taylor.

Graveside services with military honors, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Springhill Memorial Gardens with Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating.
