John Fredrick Rowland, 78, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021, at Peachtree Centre in Gaffney after a long illness. John was born on November 11, 1943, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late Stancil Jennings and Annie Courtney Roland. In his professional life he was self-employed in the field of construction.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law; Christopher and Rebecca Rowland of Mooresburg, Tennessee, and his daughter; Alicia Gail Slayton of Monroe, North Carolina. He also leaves 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren

At Mr. Rowland's request, there are to be no formal funeral services. Inurnment will be private.
