John Lee Henderson, 63, husband of Sybil Thompson Henderson passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born February 1, 1958 in Rutherford County, NC., he was a son of the late J.M. “Britt” Henderson and Lila Oliver Henderson. He was a retired Lineman and a member of The Bridge Church of the Carolinas.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Chester Lee Henderson of Spartanburg; step-son, Preston Glenn of CA., step-daughter, Sonja Watson of CA.; brother, James Henderson and wife Bonnie of Rutherford County, NC.; sisters, Betty Joe Gowan and husband Allen, Linda Condrey and husband Farrell all of Rutherford County, NC; a grandchild, Levi Henderson; step-grandchildren, Chase Watson, Chloe Watson; special friend Ethan Gregory; 5 nephews, 2 nieces and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be 6:30 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at The Bridge Church of the Carolinas with Rev. Buddy Robbins officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Bridge Church of the Carolinas Building Fund, P.O. Box 162 Chesnee, SC 29323.
