John Donald Curtis, 70 years old, passed away May 21, 2026, at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum. He was born on June 14, 1955, in Spartanburg, to the late John Donald Curtis, Sr. and Evelyn Tarlton Curtis. He was a mechanic and auto body man in his working years.

Survivors include his sisters, Kimberley Eaker (Roger) of Gaffney, Sherry Peterson of Gastonia, North Carolina, nieces, Ashlee Turner, Emily Caughman, Nicki Fort, Leah Steward, nephews, Lucas Fort, Abel Fort and Nick Fort.

John as a long-standing member of Gargoyles and will be missed.
