Joey Cleo Tucker, 59, of Chesnee, passed away on Saturday, May 28 at Spartanburg Medical Center, Mary Black Campus.

Joey was married to Sondra Tucker for over 41 years.  He never met a stranger; he was a loving family man.

Joey Tucker was born in Union, SC on April 30th, to Clara Loraine Tucker.  Joey’s mother passed away when he was an infant and he was raised by loving parents Robert and Joyce Tucker.

Before retirement, Joey was a City of Spartanburg employee.  He loved fishing, cooking, watching movies, NASCAR, and he was an animal lover.

Survivors include wife Sondra Tucker, mother Joyce Tucker, sister Lisa Horne (Wilkes), a brother, Keith Tucker, children, Joey A. Tucker (Kim), Chris Tucker (Nancy), Ashley Tucker, Kasey Tucker, and Brandon Tucker, 6 grandchildren, and a host of other friends and relatives. 

He was preceded in death by Clara Loraine Tucker, and Robert Tucker.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. June 3, 2022 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev. Wesley Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
