JoAnn Agnes Davenport, 88, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born August 25, 1935 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Roland Atkins and Mae Sue Blake Atkins. She was formerly employed with Borden Snacks and a member of Orchard Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Debra J. Williams of Summerville, Patti Conner Gosnell of Inman, Dona Matheny of Boiling Springs, Allen Davenport of Townville; grandchildren, Clint Thompson, Douglas Thompson, Angela Bradley, Amanda Gregory, Falan Greene, Caleb Conner, Colton Conner, Christina McCarthy, Christopher Lemos, Anna Thomas, Chase Davenport and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Roger Dale Atkins.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. A celebration of life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Rev Roger Gosnell officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
