Jerrell Wayne
Campbell, II
Mar 8, 1962 — May 13, 2026
Jerrell W. Campbell, II
Cowpens, SC.
Jerrell Wayne Campbell, II, was the most stubborn man his family ever knew. He was also one of the strongest. When cancer came, he didn't flinch, he didn't complain much, and he certainly didn't quit. He faced it head on and on his own terms. On May 13, 2026, the cancer was defeated when the Lord called him home and his body was completely healed.
Born March 8, 1962, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Sandra Jolley and the late Ronnie Jolley, Jerrell was a United States Marine, and if you knew him at all, you already knew that. After his service, he worked as a truck driver and a pipefitter, a true jack of all trades.
Along with his family and his country, he loved his big truck and his motorcycles. The road was his peace.
He was a larger-than-life man who never met a stranger and always had a story, joke, or laugh to share, no matter the situation. He was also a man of faith, attending Gaffney Seventh Day Adventist Church.
What truly made Jerrell's eyes light up was his grandchildren. Beau, Vallie Cate, and Tate called him Pop Pop, and there was no title on earth he was prouder of.
He is survived by his beloved dog, Gracie, his daughter, Rachel Hice, and her husband Hunter of Cowpens; his son, J. Campbell, and his wife Ashlyn of Chesnee; his sisters, Sherry Waldrop and husband Tim of Mayo, and Teri Jolley of Cowpens; his brother, Dusty Jolley of Chesnee; and his significant other, Kim Humphries, and her children Meryl-Anne and Bryson Humphries.
He was predeceased by his grandson, Case Campbell, who we believe was the first one waiting to greet him.
He was strong and stubborn and he was loved.
