Janice Amelia Spivey Brooks, 64, widow of Roger Dale “Red” Brooks, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born December 10, 1961, in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of Lottie Harris Pruitt and the late Clifford Joe Spivey and.

Surviving in addition to her mother, are her sons, Arthur Dale Brooks, Christopher Thomas Brooks; sisters, Sharon Webb, Angela Miller; brothers, Timmy Joe Spivey, John Lee Pruitt; grandchildren, Joshua D. Brooks, Jacob Levi Brooks, Nyla Nicole Brooks, Laya Brooks, Roger Lane Brooks and Angel Nicole Amelia Brooks.

In addition to her father and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Joseph Lee Brooks and sisters, Tammy Blackwell and Lisa Cooper.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary & Crematory. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary & Crematory with Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Wesleyan Cemetery.
