Gene Thomas Spartanburg, SC. Daniel Eugene Thomas, 66, of Spartanburg passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Atrium Healthcare in Charlotte, NC. Born September 27, 1952 in Madison County, NC., he was the son of the late Sim Daniel Thomas and Evelyn Worley Thomas. Survivors include, Karen Holifield, Lynn Hayes, Rita Gilbert, Will Sanders, Ronnie Sanders, David Hayes, Neal Hayes, Ralph Hollifield, Earl Hollifield, Chris Bradwell, Judy Thomas, Georgie Thomas, 12 grandchildren and his companion, Diann Bradwell. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Sarah Hollifield Thomas and a daughter, Patti Hollifield. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at North Spartanburg Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Sammy Sutton officiating. Family members are at their respective homes. I'm so sorry to hear this. I've known Gene and Diann seems like forever. Gene was a wonderful man. I'm sure he will be missed by all So sorry I can't attend the services. Much love and prayers to Diann and his family

I remember when he was just learning to drive,he ran over my wagon, but we always love Uncle Gene I'm sorry I can't bring my mother, she s in a nursing home and doesn't know must any more ,he did come and see her about a year and half ago but she didn't no him, she does know Debbie and I, she sure did love him .
