Furman Barry Dill

Furman Barry Dill, 75 years, of Spartanburg, husband of Linda Carlene Jordan Dill, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Spartanburg Medical Center. He was born on June 2, 1945, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late William Ralph and Lucille L. Coleman Dill. In his early years, Mr. Dill joined the United States Navy in August of 1964 during Vietnam, with the rank of E-4, stationed aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk. He was honorably discharged in August of 1968 and furthered his studies having completed 2 years of college. He was a self-employed woodworker in his professional life. A long with his wife, he is survived by a step-son and wife; Pete and Sharon Massey of Spartanburg, brother and sister-in-law; Kenneth and Shannon Dill of Greenville, and sisters and brothers-in-law; Patricia and John Plaisted of Oviedo, Florida and Vevonda and Chris Moser of Gastonia, North Carolina. A celebration of Furman's life will be held on, Saturday, October 10, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at Bethesda Baptist Church, 799 Bethesda Road, Spartanburg, with Reverend Larry Holland officiating.
