Franklin Pruitt

Franklin Pruitt, 72, husband of Sandra Pruitt passed away Wednesday July 29, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born July 22, 1954 in Chesnee, he was a son of the late Noah Pruitt and Alon Scruggs Pruitt. He was formerly employed with Ad-Craft Signs, Y.C. Ballanger and he also helped his brother Paul in construction work. He was a former horse trainer, loved animals and had many musical talents being able to play pretty much anything with strings. He was a very kind but humble man of few words but had a big heart and a strong love for his family. He also attended Full Salvation Church of the Living God.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Sandy Pruitt McAbee (Kevin), Christy Pruitt (Stephanie), Scott Pruitt (Tammy), Brad Robinson (Elizabeth), Franklin Keith Pruitt (Miranda), Frankie Dee Pruitt (Kel), Brian Lee Pruitt (Tammy Griffin); brother, Oscar Pruitt; sister, Sharon Allen and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his lifelong friend and car shopping buddy Phil Blackwell.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son William Franklin Pruitt, Jr.; sisters, Carolyn Elliott, Christine Hamrick; brothers, Sam Pruitt, Paul Pruitt, Oneal Pruitt and Max Pruitt.

Mr. Pruitt will be taken back to his home, 601 Front Street Chesnee, where family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday August 5, 2026, until 10:00 a.m. Thursday August 6, 2026, where the family will be there like a "Wake" through the night.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Thursday August 6, 2026, at Full Salvation Church of the Living God in Clifton with Rev. Ricky Pridmore officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
