Francine S. Gowan

Francine S. Gowan, 75, loving wife of Allen Gowan went home to be with the Lord Wednesday July 8th at her home.

Born July 28, 1950 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Plato Reid and Annie Lee Swann. She was retired from Good Year Rubber Company and a member of Orchard Street Baptist Church. Francine was very much a family woman and loved her family and friends deeply.

Surviving in addition to her husband is her son, Danny Ray Tucker; step-son, James Gowan (Marlene); brother, Roger Rhinehart; sisters, Nancy Wilson, Tina Byrd, Carol Tessiner; grandson, Dustin Cox and a great-grandson, Calyx Mahaffey.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Michael Rhinehart, Johnny Swann, sister, Peggy Floyd and a granddaughter, Tristen Tucker.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2026 at Springhill Memorial Gardens with Reverend Keith Blanton and Mr. John Rhymer officiating.

Family members are at the home.
