Mary Frances Bomar, 89, widow of the late Bobby Gene Bomar, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 10. 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born February 5, 1934 in Spartanburg County, she was the only child of the late Malcolm Nolan and Birdie Scruggs Nolan. She spent most of her working years in Manufacturing and her last employment was her biggest joy, working at the nursing home in Chesnee until it closed. The family will cherish memories of holidays at Nanny’s and cookouts on the creek and camping at Lake Greenwood. She attended Eden Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are her children, Kay Brown and husband Mickey of Chesnee, Scott Brown of Chesnee; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Michael Brown and Danny Brown.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Springhill Memorial Gardens with Reverend Richard Hall officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the gravesite.
