Florence Frances Blake Evans, 98, widow of Jim Evans, formerly of Cowpens went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Lakewood Senior Living.

Born September 13, 1923 in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Blake and Nannie Smith Blake. She was a member of New Pleasant Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are her daughters, Sharon Stephens (Michael) of Chesnee, Donna Kay Sistare of Summerville, Libby Bailey (Jody) of Chesnee; grandchildren, Allyson Gilliland (W.C.), Amanda Deaton (Darron), Dr. Stephen C. Sistare, Kristin Bunton (Jason), Jeremy Bishop, Isaac Fitch, Jason Bailey and Joel Bailey and several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2022 at New Pleasant Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the church with Rev. Bryan Yelton and Dr. Stephen C. Sistare officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Family members are at their respective homes.
