Evelyn Benfield Morris, 92, widow of Alvin Edwin “Toby” Morris, went home to be with the Lord, Friday May 30, 2025 at her home.

Born March 12, 1933 in Canton, NC., she was a daughter of the late Rev. Harrison Ervin Benfield and Hazel Todd Benfield. She was retired from Arrow Automotive and a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughters, Rita Eison of Chesnee, Renee Morris of Chesnee; special daughter, Susan Coffey and her children and grandchildren of Chesnee; sisters, Mary Blanton, Shirley Ray; brother, Jack Benfield; grandchildren, Billy Eison (Debbie) Andrew Eison (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Jacob (Megan), Cody Eison, Silas and Mary Ellen Eison and a special sister-in-law, Carolyn Benfield.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister Christine Huffman and brother, Bill Benfield

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Buck Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Kenny McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
