I first met my cousin Ellen when she was 10 years old. Though we didn't see each other often over the years I always new her as a wonderful person and she will be missed.

I had the privilege of getting to know Ellen many years ago. She asked me to go with her to the Upstate Resource Center in Boiling Springs. Ellen was definitely an unsung hero. She helped everyone who had a need. I told her on numerous occasions how much I admired all the hard work she did for others. She would always tell me that anything she did was not for admiration but for the Lord. She did not want any attention brought on her. She will definitely leave a void in our church family as well as in our community. We all can learn from her kind, caring, generous servant's heart. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.
