Ellen Martin Batton, 53, wife of Johnny Batton went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born March 30, 1968 in Durham North Carolina, she was a daughter of George Martin and Mary Lynn Huggins both of Charlotte. She was employed in Home Healthcare and a member of Chesnee First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her children, Jonathan Batton of Chesnee, Kristy Hames (Kevin) of Boiling Springs, Michael Batton (Maranda Tarlton) of Wellford, Joseph Nash (Katey) of Maryland, Brittiany Batton (Trey Solomon) of Chesnee, Tiffiany Batton of Chesnee, Emily Batton of Chesnee; brother, Frankie Peach (Keyra) of Raleigh; sister, Catherine Walker (Arthur) of Charlotte; her biological father, Wilson Bush; niece, Mary Walker and 10 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Chesnee First Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Dr. Gary J. Grogan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to Chesnee First Baptist Church, Elevator Fund, 212 S. Kentucky Ave. Chesnee, SC 29323.
