Elizabeth Canfield Steele, 71 years old, passed away the morning of Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center, after a short illness. She was born on September 23, 1954, in Long Island, New York, to the late Jesse Odell Canfield and Josie Christine Ellenberg Canfield. In her working years she was a supervisor over the call center at Smile makers for a total of 27 years. She as was also a member of Fingerville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her four sisters, Sarah Katherine Bishop of Spartanburg, Margaret Elsea (Harry) of Bristol Tennessee, Nancy Naylor of Covington, Georgia, Ruth Canfield of Cochran, Georgia, numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Life service honoring Elizabeth will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 2:00 pm, at Fingerville United Methodist Church with Pastor Thom Thornton and retired Pastor Bill Thompson. Inurnment will be private.
