Edna Earle Martin, 78, widow of Billy Banks Martin went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at her home.

 

Born December 16, 1943 in Cherokee County, she was a daughter of the late James Oye Adams and Evelyn Hamrick Adams. She was retired after 30 years with the Charles Lea Center and was a member of New Pleasant Baptist Church.

 

Surviving are her sons, Chris Banks Martin (Jennifer) of Mayo, Billy Craig Martin (Deanna) of Chesnee; sister Anita Morgan of Earl, NC.; grandchildren, David Martin (Nancy), Travis McSwain (Grace), Haley Jenkins (Cody), Cam Martin; great-grandchildren, Jackson Martin, Lauren Faith Martin and Hollis McSwain.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Marlene Gold and Betty Henson.

 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with her niece Rev. Amy Bratton officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in New Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
