Dysia LouAnna Bush Phillips, 99, widow of Ray Phillips, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at her home.
Born February 8, 1924 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Edward McKelvey and Ella Satterfield McKelvey. She was a former Seamstress and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving is her daughter, Derenda Varner of Spartanburg; sons, L.J. Bush (Lucille) of Chesnee, Ray Bush (Kathy) of Cross Hill, Donald Bush of Green Creek, NC.; sisters, Ruby Taylor (Eddie) of NC., Evelene Koon of Spartanburg; brothers, Alvin McKelvey of Inman, Harold McKelvey of Inman, Eugene McKelvey (Caroline) of Inman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Dennis L. Bush and a son, Allon Bush, granddaughter, Sonya Chapman and great-grandson, Isaac Bush.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024,in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Reverend Kenneth Cash officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
