Donald Eugene Hood, 69, husband of Vera Mae Swaney Hood went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Regional Hospice Home.

Born November 29, 1952 in Spartanburg he was a son of the late Sam Hood and Maggie Williams Hood and was a retired textiles worker.

Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, David Hood (Carolyn) of Woodruff, Matthew Hood of the home; a daughter, Maggie Hood of the home; sister, Becki Hood (Connie) of Chesnee and three grandchildren, Riley, Logan and Noah.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Sammy Hood.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2022 in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Dr. Gary J. Grogan officiating. A private burial will be held.
