Donald William Gillespie, 78, died at home on February 26, 2021. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late William Edgar and Ruth Snyder Gillespie. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the College of Wooster; a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Converse College; and a Master of Music degree in Composition, also from Converse College. Don built his own working computer at age 17 and later taught himself to program computers back in the days of punch cards. He subsequently worked in the IT department at Milliken and Company for 30 years. After retiring from Milliken, he created Lark & Owl Press, where, working from home, he enjoyed making websites and publishing business cards, developing and supporting databases, and designing directories for various organizations.
