Debra Thaxton Hudson “Nanny”, 74, widow of Benjie Hudson, passed away Thursday July 9, 2026 at her home.
Born May 27, 1952 in Macon, GA., she was a daughter of the late Otis Thaxton Sr. and Margaret Akridge Thaxton and was a homemaker.
Surviving are her daughters, Stephanie Hudson (Gene Gossett), Amanda Patton (Harold Patton), Shelly Martin (Brian Martin); son, Gabriel Hudson; sister, Patsy Williams (Ronnie Williams); brothers, Otis Thaxton Jr. (Melissa Thaxton), Jody Thaxton (Cherie Thaxton); 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Tuesday July 14, 2026 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary & Crematory. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary & Crematory. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Family members are at their respective homes.
