Dana Smith Hipp

Dana Smith Hipp, 51 years, wife of Robert "Bobby" Cecil Hipp, passed away the morning of Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Spartanbrug Medical Center after an illness. Dana was born on November 19, 1970, in Spartanburg, to the late William Dupre Smith. Her mother, Shelby Jean Barnett Smith, survives. She was educated in the local area and in her professional years was employed as a law clerk. She was a member of Hope Church.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Bobby of Spartanburg, sons; J.J. of Greenwood and Jordy of Spartanburg, mother, Shelby Smith of  Chesnee, brothers; David (Linda) Smith of Lyman, Michael (Teresa) of Duncan, sister; Brenda (Michael) Sherbert of Roebuck and 2 grandchildren; Jayden and Ryder. Dana was predeceased by her sister, Connie Smith in 2005.

A Celebration of life open to all family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, 2:00 pm at Hope Church, 102 John Dodd Road, Spartanburg, SC, 29303. Thereafter a receiving of all friends will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers or plants the family requests memorial contributions be made to theprostheticfoundation.org or amputeecoalition.org.
