Charles Robert Stephens, 70, husband of 51 years to Nancy Diane Varner Stephens, passed away, Monday June 28, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born May 26, 1951 in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Lewis J. Stephens and Louise Mahaffey Stephens. He was retired from Metromont and a member of Tabernacle of Love Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Diane Tripp of Campobello, Karen McAbee (Eric) of Inman; son, Robert Stephens (Becca) of Inman; sister, Agnes Thomas of Inman; brothers, James Stephens and Albert Stephens both of Inman; grandchildren, Brian Tripp II, Adriana Wilson, Hannah Steinecke, Alise Morgan, Dillon Stephens, Audrey Cox, Morgan Sargent, Jocelyn McAbee; great-grandchildren, Vivian Tripp, Teagan Wilson, Clayton Wilson, Bryley Steinecke and Elijah Palmer.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 2 sisters, Rachel Jackson and Ruby Bouchillon.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday July 2, 2021 at Tabernacle of Love, 287 Jones Town Road Chesnee, SC with Rev. Johnny Jones and Rev. Calvin Branch officiating.
