Carolyn P. Johnson “Katie” Lowe, 86, widow of R.E. Lowe, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at her home.

Born August 9, 1939 in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late S. N. Johnson and Ollie Oliver Johnson. She was a member of Orchard Street Baptist Church and was retired from Nestle.

Surviving are her daughters, Tammy Lowe, Penny Wood (Guy); sisters, Cheryl Blackwell; grandchildren, Brandi Ellis (Chris), Cliff Wood, Kayce Wood; great-grandchildren, Byron Smith, Keagen Smith, Caiden Ellis and Logan Wood.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by siblings, Genelle McClellan, Clarence Johnson, Leon Johnson, Sandra Freeman, Mary Quinn and Larry Johnson.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2025 at Springhill Memorial Gardens with Reverend Stacey Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
