Bruce Dean Mathis, 43, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born June 12, 1982 in Spartanburg, he was a son of Terrie Arrowood Rucker and the late Bruce Wayne Mathis.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his children, Alex Mathis of Connley Springs, NC, Alea Mathis of Spartanburg; sister, Jamie Hammonds; grandchildren, Kaisen Lee Kelly Mathis, Carter James Mathis and Blakely Dean Dubose.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a twin brother, Frankie Mathis.

The family will hold a celebration of life service at the home.
