Betty Lou Cady, 76 years old, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025, at Cherokee Medical Center in Gaffney, South Carolina, after a long illness. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late Kenneth Greenwich Barber and Martha Daigle Barber. She was educated in Rhode Island and received her nursing degree as well. She became a traveling Director of Nursing Service commissioned to go into facilities that were than satisfactory and bring them up to standard,

Survivors include sons; Alfred R. DiPrete, III (Jami) of Benton, Kentucky, Kenneth DiPrete (Vicki) of Spartanburg, Chris Cady (Cori-lyn) of Warwick, Rhode Island, daughter; Shannon Cady of Gaffney, brothers; Jack Barber (Diane) of Daytona Beach, Florida, Kenneth Barber of Coventry, Rhode Island, sisters, Rose Marie Laurent (Jim) of North Kingston, Rhode Island, Lynn Greer of West Warwick, Rhode Island, Jody Odlin of Spain, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
