Born October 17, 1987 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of Lori Rudisill Lowe of Mayo and the late Douglas Allen Underwood Sr. and was formerly employed with Hardees.

Surviving in addition to her mother is her daughter, Elizabeth Marie Hensley; sister, Shannon Jeanette Rudisill and a brother; Douglas Allen Underwood Jr.
